Courtney Linn '90 Honored by US Department of Justice

Courtney Linn '90, an assistant United States Attorney, received the U.S. Department of Justice's John Marshall Award for excellence in legal performance at the department's Annual Awards Ceremony in Washington, D.C. on October 28. 

Dean Johnson Publishes Commentary in Yale Law Journal Online

Dean Kevin R. Johnson has published a commentary on immigration law in Pocket Part, an online companion to The Yale Law Journal as part of a group of commentaries that revisit a 2003 Yale Law Journal essay authored by UC Davis School of Law Professor Anupam Chander.

King Hall Students Argue Before U.S. Appellate Court

The strength of the UC Davis School of Law clinical programs has been and will continue to be on display this fall as King Hall students make arguments before the Ninth U.S. Court of Appeal, the highest federal appeals court in the Western states, on three separate occasions as part of their work with the King Hall clinics.

Joseph Florendo '79 Named Hawaii Jurist of the Year

Joseph Florendo '79, a Hawaii Island District Court Judge, was honored as Hawaii Jurist of the Year by Chief Justice Ronald Moon on October 17 in a ceremony in the Supreme Court courtroom. 

UCD La Raza Law School Students Win NLLSA Service Award

The UC Davis School of Law La Raza Law Students Association was awarded the Student Service Award by the National Latino/a Law Student Association (NLLSA) at the NLLSA's annual convention held in Albuquerque, New Mexico October 16-18.
