School of Law Co-Sponsors Bar Reception Honoring Judge Emily Vasquez
UC Davis School of Law co-sponsored the California Women Lawyers' Northern California Judicial Reception on March 28, 2008 at the Sterling Hotel in Sacramento. A long-time friend of King Hall, the Honorable Emily E. Vasquez of the Sacramento County Superior Court, was honored at the gala with the Rose Bird Memorial Award, which honors judges for judicial excellence, groundbreaking public service, and inspiration to California's women lawyers. Many members of the School of Law community participated in the event, including Dean Rex Perschbacher, Associate Dean Kevin Johnson, Professor Cruz Reynoso, and Director of the Immigration Law Clinic Amagda Pérez '91. Jennifer Gorsi Krengel '99, Gene and Carol Livingston '80, Michael Mills '97, Julie Montgomery '96, Maggie Krell, and law student Erin Hernandez.
