Research Resources for Summer

The Mabie Law Library has a new Summer Legal Research Guide to help with summer research projects. The guide covers:

Continuing UC Davis Law students retain access to research databases and other electronic Law Library resources through the summer. Check the A-Z Databases page for information on how to access databases from off campus, and read below for use restrictions on job-related use.

Westlaw. Student access is for non-commercial research only. Research associated with billable work requires employer-issued credentials. Permitted non-commercial uses include summer coursework, research assistant assignments, Law Review and other journal research, moot court research, nonprofit or clinical work, and law school-sponsored externships.

Lexis. Student access may be used over the summer without restrictions, with one exception: Public Records Search may not be used for employment purposes.

Bloomberg Law. Student access may be used over the summer without restrictions. If you are a continuting student who has not yet set up a Bloomberg Law account, email [email protected] for an registration code.

CEB OnLaw and CEB AccessLaw. Student access may be used over the summer without restrictions. To sign up for student access to CEB AccessLaw, email [email protected] for the law school code.
