Professor Johnson Appointed to AALS National Task Force

Professor Emeritus Kevin R. Johnson has been appointed by the National Task Force on the Regulation of American Legal Education. The initiative, brought forth by the Association of American Law Schools (AALS), will examine the current regulatory environment governing legal education and provide recommendations to ensure excellence in legal education. 

Kevin R. Johnson is a distinguished professor of law emeritus, director of the Aoki Center for Critical Race and Nation Studies and professor emeritus of Chicana/o studies at UC Davis. He served as dean of UC Davis Law from 2008 to 2024. Johnson is an internationally recognized scholar in the fields of immigration law and policy, refugee law and civil rights.
