I really enjoyed my studies in a program at King Hall called English for Legal Professionals. We had a great time interacting with classmates from different countries. The professor taught us practical skills for practicing law in English, which I found very useful as a non-native speaker.
The program helps you strengthen both your English and your legal knowledge before starting the LL.M. program.

The legal training at King Hall helped make me an expert in U.S. law and prepared me to teach American law in my home country. I’m now an assistant professor in Taipei, where I introduce subjects like contract law and other areas of U.S. law to my students. It’s exciting to be able to share the knowledge I gained from my studies at UC Davis School of Law.
My favorite class in law school was contract law, taught by Professor Dodge. I really enjoyed the class and visited his office hours often. He was very friendly and patient in listening to my questions and answering them.
The program also hosted parties and events, including Thanksgiving, farewell, and welcome celebrations. They organized gatherings with food and activities, which made me feel like I was truly part of the law school community—a big family. I really enjoyed the entire program.
