California Assault Weapons Ban Repeal Temporarily Blocked By 9th Circuit Court of Appeals

On June 21, 2021 the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals stayed the U.S. District Court';s ruling in Miller v. Bonta that overturned California's assault weapons ban. The 9th Circuit court stayed the lower court's order pending the resolution of Rupp v. Bonta, which also deals with the assault weapons ban. Rupp v. Bonta has also been put on held by the court as it handles other Second Amendment cases that could affect it. See Fox News, California Globe.
