Professor Elmendorf Discusses Housing Market Research on Economics Podcast

Professor Christopher Elmendorf was a featured guest on the Oct. 8 American Economic Association Research Highlights podcast. 

The podcast covers Elmendorf's paper in the Journal of Economic Perspectives with co-authors Clayton Nall and Stan Oklobdzija. Their research surveyed thousands of urban and suburban residents to learn more about the public's knowledge of how housing markets work. They found that while people understand supply and demand in markets like cars and agriculture, they struggle to apply the same logic to housing. Listen to the interview.
