PIPS Day

PIPS Day

The Annual Northern California Public Interest/Public Sector Legal Careers Day (PIPS Day), is a job fair and networking event designed to increase students' exposure to a vast array of public interest organizations and government agencies. Seven northern California law schools coordinate to host this event every winter. For students interested in finding a public interest position for the summer, plan to participate in this event.

PI/PS Day has two components:

  • Formal Interviews (virtual): Employers conduct virtual formal, pre-screened interviews for paid, work-study or volunteer positions. First, second, and third year students may apply for positions through PIPS Day. Formal interviews are only open to students of sponsoring schools.
  • Table Talk (virtual): Representatives from non-profit legal organizations and government agencies are available to speak with students. This is an excellent opportunity to learn about the work done by a large number of organizations across the region. It also provides a good chance to introduce yourself to the public service community and make contacts that can produce positive results, either in the short-run or further down the line.

All information on deadlines and instructions for students are on the PIPS Day website. Employers looking to participate or donate to this event can also find information on the PIPS Day Employer Page
