Professor Hing Comments on Birthright Citizenship for Manila Bulletin
Professor Emeritus Bill O. Hing commented on proposals to change the 14th Amendment in order to revoke birthright citizenship for children of undocumented parents for the Manila Bulletin. Professor Hing said such proposals are very unlikely to be successful, given the political difficulties involved in changing the U.S. Constitution.
"It can't be a serious proposal because it can't be done politically and is simply a distraction from true immigration reform,'' said Professor Hing.
