The Neumiller competition, sponsored by the firm of Neumiller & Beardslee, is the culmination of King Hall's year-long intraschool moot court competition. The competition pits the school's two highest-rated oral advocacy teams against each other to argue before a panel of distinguished judges. This year's panel was composed of retired Chief Justice Walter Carpeneti of the Alaska Supreme Court, Judge William Shubb of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California, Judge Kimberly Mueller of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California, Justice Louis Mauro '87 of the California Court of Appeal, Third Appellate District, and Justice Elena Duarte of the California Court of Appeal, Third Appellate District.

Attendees included Dean Kevin Johnson, Professors Edward Imwinkelried and John Hunt, Neumiller & Beardslee attorneys Michael Tener '07 and Kurtis Keller '12, and a host of prospective King Hall students who were visiting King Hall as part of an Open House for Admitted Students.
