Doug Mirell '80 Co-founds New Entertainment Law Firm

After 32 years as an attorney in the Los Angeles office of the firm that hired him just after graduation from King Hall, Doug Mirell '80 has left the international law firm of Loeb & Loeb to co-found Harder Mirell & Abrams, a new firm dedicated to entertainment, media, intellectual property, First Amendment, and general business litigation/counseling. The new firm has represented celebrity clients including George Clooney, Julia Roberts, and Sandra Bullock in various publicity rights, misappropriation, invasion of privacy, defamation, and other disputes, as well as the publicity rights interests of deceased icons such as Marilyn Monroe, Marlon Brando, and Humphrey Bogart.  The new firm also litigates on behalf of leading entertainment industry companies, handling copyright and trademark infringement, idea submission, unfair competition, and profit participation lawsuits.
