King Hall Teams Compete in National Mock Trial Competition Regionals

Last week, two UC Davis School of Law teams participated in the regional tournament of the National Mock Trial Competition in San Francisco. One team consisted of Ashley Bargenquast '15, Brian Cooke '14, and Uzair Saleem '13 and another team of Caspar Chan '13, Desi Fairly '15, and Eric Lofgren '13. The teams competed admirably and did a fine job of representing King Hall, reported Christian Acevedo '13, chair of the Trial Practice Honors Board.  Their fine performance was all the more significant given that, for only the second time in the history of the School of Law, each team included a first-year student.  The tournament marked the first competition in which Crystal Lamb of the Sacramento Public Defender's Office served as the coach of the team, and Lamb has already indicated her willingness to coach the team next year.
