Professor Joslin Speaks on Supreme Court Same-Sex Marriage Cases at McGeorge School of Law

Professor Courtney Joslin spoke at the University of the Pacific McGeorge School of Law as part of a Continuing Legal Education event titled "Prop 8, the Defense of Marriage Act, and the Supreme Court."  The forum, held on February 5, examined the Supreme Court case concerning California's same-sex marriage ban, Hollingsworth v. Perry, as well as United States v. Windsor, a constitutional challenge to the Defense of Marriage Act.

The event was presented by SacLEGAL, the Stonewall Democratic Club of Sacramento, the McGeorge Lambda Law Students, and the UC Davis Lambda Law Students with support from Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe.

Professor Joslin is a scholar in the field of family and relationship recognition, with a particular focus on same-sex and non-marital couples.
