King Hall Alumni Luis Alejo '01, George Miller '72, Kalen Gallagher '09 Win Election Races

Luis Alejo '01 won reelection to the California Assembly, George Miller '72 was returned to Congress, and Kalen Gallagher '09 won a seat on the Campbell Union School District Governing Board as King Hall alumni triumphed at the polls during the November 6 election.

First elected to the California Legislature to represent the 28th Assembly District in 2010, Alejo was elected to represent the newly drawn 30th Assembly District by a wide margin, besting his opponent by more than 25 percent of the vote.  The largely rural, Central Valley district includes parts of Fresno, Kings, Kern, and Tulare counties, and all of Kings County.

George Miller, who has represented the East Bay area since first being elected to Congress in 1974, won reelection, drawing more than 69 percent of the vote in the newly drawn 11th Congressional District.

Also earning a victory on Election Day was Kalen Gallagher.  He will join the Campbell Union School District Governing Board, which oversees schools in Campbell, Los Gatos, Monte Sereno, San Jose, Santa Clara, and Saratoga.
