Marc Levinson '73 to Represent Stockton in Bankruptcy Mediation

Marc Levinson '73 has been hired by the City of Stockton to represent the financially beleaguered city as it enters third-party mediation as part of an effort to stave off a formal bankruptcy filing.  Stockton would be the largest city in the nation to go into bankruptcy.  Levinson, a partner at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe, earned acclaim including an American Lawyer "Dealmakers of the Year" award in 2008 in honor of his leadership role handling the complex bankruptcy case of the City of Vallejo, the largest California city to seek Chapter 9 protection.
