King Hall Students Compete in National Mock Trial Competition

Two UC Davis School of Law teams competed in the National Mock Trial Competition February 9-11 at the Federal District Courthouse in San Francisco.  One team consisted of Atzimba Reyes '13, Eric Lofgren '13, and Matthew Pearson '13; the other was comprised of Christian Acevedo '13, Zachary Schultz '13, and John Stoller '12.   The teams did not advance to the national championship tournament in Texas, but competed strongly in four excellent, close trials.

The Honors Board would like to thank Daniel Boone '90, a UC Davis School of Law alumnus who has coached the mock trial teams at King Hall for the past two decades, for donating his time despite the demands of his busy career as a litigator.  The Honors Board also thanked Alexander Alpert '14, Michael Butera '13, Miranda Dugan '13, Claire Jacobson '14, Yesenia Melgar '13, Matthew Struhar '13, and Elise Weinberg '14 for donating their time as witnesses in practice rounds, and two King Hall graduates and former team members, Joseph Alexander '98 and Michelle Prince '04, for helping to select the team members and presiding at practice rounds.
