Michael Brown '95, Keith Flaum '89, David Walgren '95 Win CLAY Awards

Michael Brown '95, Keith Flaum '89, and David Walgren '95 have been named by California Lawyer magazine as recipients of 2012 California Attorneys of the Year (CLAY) Awards. The awards recognize 26 accomplishments in 20 areas of legal practice. Recipients will be featured in the magazine's March 2012 issue.

Brown, a sole practitioner based in San Francisco, is recognized for his role in representing the Retired Employees Association of Orange County in a California Supreme Court case that helped to define the nature of vested benefits for public employees.  Flaum of Dewey & LeBoeuf was honored for his work representing eBay in its complicated acquisition of GSI Commerce Inc.  Walgren, a Los Angeles County Deputy District Attorney, was honored for his successful prosecution of Dr. Conrad Murray, who was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter in the death of pop star Michael Jackson.
