Patricia Cowett '72 Appointed to California Law Revision Commission

Patricia Cowett '72 has been appointed to the California Law Revision Commission by Governor Jerry Brown.  Cowett has been a mediator at Alternative Dispute Resolution Services since 2009. Prior to that, she served as a judge for the San Diego Superior Court from 1998 to 2008. She also served as a judge for the San Diego Municipal Court from 1979 to 1998, and was presiding judge in 1991.

For the past two years, the California Law Review Commission has been housed in King Hall.  The CLRC conducts substantive review of California law and makes recommendations to the state Legislature regarding needed reforms.
