The King Hall Annual Fund: Bridging the Gap, Keeping the Dream Alive.

With state support now accounting for only about 15 percent of the Law School budget, rising student fees are not enough to make up the difference.  That's why the King Hall Annual Fund is more important than ever, bridging the gap to provide vital support for the Law School and expanding the educational opportunities available to students.

Gifts to the Annual Fund provide support for critical priorities and give the Law School flexibility needed to direct resources to areas of greatest need, including student organizations and journals, moot court and mock trial competitions, library services, and technology upgrades.

During the past year, the Annual Fund supported King Hall student participation in activities such as:

  • Travel to the Gulf Coast to provide legal aid for victims of the Deepwater Horizon oil spill;
  • Special events such as the highly successful Law Review Symposium on the Public Trust Doctrine that brought an overflow audience to the Kalmanovitz Courtroom;
  • Moot court and mock trial competitions including the 42nd annual Neumiller Moot Court Competition, the Luke Charles Moore Invitational Civil Rights Moot Court Competition in Washington, D.C., and the Tulane University Law School Sports Law Moot Court Competition in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Alumni support for the King Hall Annual Fund is critical to the Law School's continued ability to support these and other activities, which help enable King Hall to attract and maintain a diverse and gifted student body and provide an unsurpassed level of legal education.

With 2011 drawing to a close, now is the perfect time to show your support for today's students with a gift to the King Hall Annual Fund! Please give to the King Hall Annual Fund today!
