Mary Scoonover '87 to Receive Mono Lake Committee Award

Mary Scoonover '87 will receive the Mono Lake Committee's Defender of the Trust award at the committee's Defender of the Trust weekend September 23-25. 

Scoonover is an attorney with Resources Law Group whose practice is devoted to complex natural resource management issues and conservation philanthropy.  Previously, she was a Deputy Attorney General in the Public Rights Division of the California Department of Justice, where she worked on the Lower Owens River, Mono Lake, and CALFED Bay-Delta Program's plan to restore the ecosystem, improve water quality, and increase water supply reliability in the San Francisco Bay Delta, among other important environmental issues.
