Holly Cooper to Receive Carol Weiss King Award
Holly Cooper will receive the Carol Weiss King Award at the National Lawyers Guild "Law for the People 2011" convention, held in Philadelphia October 12-16. The award, presented by the National Lawyers Guild Immigration Project, honors excellence in the pursuit of social justice through organizing, litigating, and teaching.
Holly Cooper is a Lecturer and serves as staff attorney at the UC Davis Immigration Law Clinic. Her areas of specialty include immigration law and detained immigrants' rights.
