King Hall Partners with DFEH on Discrimination Law Program

UC Davis School of Law has entered into a partnership with the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing (DFEH) to establish a new employment discrimination law program.  King Hall students will work with DFEH staff to evaluate claims in class action lawsuits, determine claimants' rights and appropriate awards, and help combat systematic discrimination.

"This collaboration is a great opportunity for UC Davis law students to work on employment discrimination cases," said Dean Kevin R. Johnson.  "We are enthusiastic about this partnership with the DFEH."

It is expected that eight King Hall students will work with the DFEH as part of a 10-week program during the summer of 2011, and an academic program for credit will follow during the 2011-12 school year.
