Assoc. Dean Amar Cited by U.S. Supreme Court

Plata, the recent Supreme Court ruling requiring California to release approximately 46,000 prisoners in order to relieve prison overcrowding.  Justice Kennedy cited Amar's discussion in Federal Practice and Procedure of the procedures the lower courts must go through before issuing an order that has the effect of limiting the number of prisoners at a prison.
