Aliyah Abdullah '10 to Teach at Humphreys College

Aliyah Abdullah '10 was recently appointed to be an adjunct professor of law at Humphreys College Laurence Drivon School of Law in Stockton.  Abdullah was a champion in the 2008-2009 Carr competition at King Hall and will use those skills to teach the Moot Court class at Humphreys.  She will be part of a two-faculty member team that will teach this class. Her fellow professor is Philip Pimentel, an experienced family law practitioner from Modesto.

Abdullah was the Law School's 2010 commencement speaker.  She was the subject of "You can call her Mom, J.D.," a profile in the Stockton Record.  The article recounts Abdullah's experiences growing up in rough neighborhood of southeast Stockton and how she succeeded in earning her undergraduate degree from the University of Pacific and her law degree from King Hall despite a busy schedule that includes caring for her young son.
