Hon. Louis Mauro '87 Appointed to 3rd Appellate District

The Honorable Louis R. Mauro '87 has been appointed by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger as an associate justice in the Third Appellate District Court of Appeal.   

Mauro, a Sacramento County Superior Court judge since 2009, served the Governor's Office as chief deputy legal affairs secretary from 2006-2009.  Prior to that, he was a senior assistant attorney general, supervising deputy attorney general and deputy attorney general with the California Attorney General's Office.  He also worked as an associate for Boutin Gibson Law Firm from 1993-1994 and for Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher from 1988-1993, and as a staff attorney for the California Supreme Court from 1987-1988.
