Craig Stowers '85 Sworn in as Alaska Supreme Court Justice

Craig Stowers '85 was sworn in as an Alaska Supreme Court Justice on April 16 after having been appointed by Alaska Governor Sean Parnell in December 2009.  Stowers' career on the bench began when he was appointed to the Anchorage Superior Court by then-Governor Frank Murkowski in 2004. Previously, he had worked as a civil attorney and was a founding partner in the law firm Clapp, Peterson and Stowers, which specialized in defending professionals such as doctors and lawyers.  Prior to that, he clerked for Justice Warren Matthews of the Alaska Supreme Court and for U.S. Circuit Judge Robert Boochever in Juneau.
