Daniel Girard '84 Featured in California Lawyer

Daniel Girard '84, managing partner at the complex-litigation firm Girard Gibbs, is featured in "Roundtable," a sponsored section in the February 2010 issue of California Lawyer magazine.

In the "Roundtable" article, Girard is one of seven attorneys who discuss controversial issues facing securities litigators.  In response to a query about standards of conduct, Girard says, "The financial crisis has exposed cases where you have some very large Ponzi schemes -- and it's not just Madoff -- where responsibility for the fraud extends well beyond the primary actors.  Restoring aiding-and-abetting liability would be a step in the right direction to improve investor confidence."
