Steven Lapham, Assistant U.S. Attorney, Eastern District of California, will speak on "Criminal Insanity - Lessons from the Unabomber Case." The lecture is co-sponsored by the Homer and Ann Angelo Chair at UC Davis and by the UC Davis Criminal Law Association.
The Unabomber case, which centered on Ted Kaczynski's mail-bomb campaign, involved high drama and serious consequences. The case attracted national and international attention. It raises fundamental questions about insanity, and the role of prosecutors and criminal defense attorneys.
