Construction of King Hall’s new east wing is entering its final stages,
and soon the Law School community will gather for a ribbon-cutting
ceremony to celebrate its completion. But there is still time to make

As a student at King Hall, Tom Stallard worked for the California
Legislature and used the legal knowledge and practical experience he
gained to launch a thriving business that has prospered for more than
35 years. As an alumnus, he has been one of the Law School’s most
enthusiastic volunteers and supporters.
Applications to UC Davis School of Law in 2010 increased by a
remarkable 21.6 percent compared to last year, with the Law School
receiving the third-highest number of applications in its history. King
Hall received 4,036 applications, far surpassing the 3,318 received in
2009. The Law School's increase was more than triple the national
average increase of 6.1 percent.
The new issue of the King Hall Counselor is available on the UC Davis
School of Law website. The magazine features stories about the Law
School’s outstanding international law programs and the King Hall
Expansion and Renovation Project. The donor rolls recognize those
who made gifts to the Law School in the last fiscal year (July 2008-
