Construction crews have returned to UC Davis School of Law as
the renovation phase of the King Hall Expansion and Renovation
project kicks off a period of intense activity scheduled for the summer
of 2011. Private support for the project is still needed as the Law
School seeks to raise more than $2 million to bring significant improvements to classrooms, study areas, the student lounge,
student organization offices, the Mabie Law Library, and other
facilities in the “old” King Hall.
Chief Justice of California Tani Cantil-Sakauye '84 delivered an
inspiring Commencement Address and Camille Papini-Chapla '11
was presented with the Law School Medal for academic achievement
at the UC Davis School of Law 2011 Commencement Ceremony on
May 13 at the Mondavi Center for the Performing Arts. The Law
School awarded 193 Juris Doctor and 17 Master of Laws degrees.
As president of the Law Students Association, Gage Dungy ’03 worked
with the King Hall Alumni Board to promote alumni-student relations.
Now, he’s doing the same as a member of the Alumni Board,
volunteering as chair of the Student-Alumni Relations Committee.
Alumni gifts to the King Hall Annual Fund supported a wide range of
UC Davis School of Law programs and student activities throughout
the course of the 2010-11 academic year. Find out how the Annual
Fund made a difference, and how you can help keep the dream
alive in the year to come!
