Marian Lee, Assistant Director of Career Services, Attends West Coast International LL.M. Job Fair

Marian Lee, King Hall's new Assistant Director of Career Services, attended the West Coast International LL.M. Job Fair on February 21 at UCLA School of Law, where she met with representatives from law firms, government entities, and corporations around the world to discuss their hiring needs, and conferenced with career counselors from UCLA and USC to strengthen King Hall's ties to Southern California schools. Also in attendance were students in the UC Davis School of Law LL.M. program, who interviewed with potential employers.

Inaugurated in April 2007, the West Coast International LL.M. Job Fair is a recruitment venue for employers who are interested in enlisting international legal talents and for internationally trained lawyers who are currently enrolled in an LL.M. program at a participating law school. Interested employers will have the opportunity to pre-select LL.M. candidates from a collective pool of high caliber students who represent many countries in Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East. UC Davis School of Law is a founding member of the career fair, which is one of the largest for LL.M. students.

"This year, our students had the opportunity to interview with a great variety of employers for internship and permanent positions in the United States and abroad," said Lee. "These employers ranged from a boutique immigration law firm in Los Angeles, to a large multinational corporation looking to expand its in-house legal department."
