Raha Jorjani Conducts Training Session for Alameda County Juvenile Court Judges

Raha Jorjani conducted a training session for Alameda County Juvenile Court Judges on October 4 in the Alameda County Juvenile Justice Center in San Leandro, California. The training, which was open to judges, public defenders, district attorneys, probation officers, and social workers, concerned the immigration consequences of juvenile delinquency dispositions and forms of relief that juvenile court judges must be aware of when dealing with noncitizen juvenile offenders.

Raha Jorjani is a staff attorney and lecturer in the Immigration Law Clinic at the UC Davis School of Law with a special interest in advocacy on behalf of detained immigrants.
