Professor Solis Speaks at First Annual Veterans Law Conference in San Francisco

Professor Gary Solis was among the panelists participating in the First Annual Veterans Law Conference held at Golden Gate University School of Law on October 18.  The conference, organized by the Northern California Law Student Veterans Coalition (LSVC) and sponsored by the newly formed Law Students Veterans Coalition of Northern California, drew students from law schools at Stanford, the University of San Francisco, and University of Pacific, as well as King Hall students John Wallis '15, Joe Dowdalls '12, Mitchell Suliman '13, and Michael Van Derwood '15.

Solis, a member of the King Hall Class of '71, is a retired U.S. Marine with 26 years active duty, including tours in Vietnam and service as a Marine judge advocate and military judge. He has taught law at the United States Military Academy, George Washington University, and other institutions, and is currently a visiting professor at King Hall.
