Professor Chander Speaks at Harvard's Berkman Center

Professor Anupam Chander presented his new book, The Electronic Silk Road: How the Web Binds the World Together in Commerce, at Harvard's Berkman Center for Internet and Society on October 8, 2013. 

Professor Chander reported that he had "first presented the first paper that formed the foundation for the book at a Berkman Center retreat in Cape Cod in 2003." He added, "It was also nice to return to his undergraduate alma mater and find the book on the shelves at two Harvard Square bookstores."

The book, published this summer by Yale University Press, has been well-received, including laudatory reviews in the Financial Times and Huffington Post.

Professor Anupam Chander is a leading scholar in the law of globalization and digitization, and has written widely on international law and cyber law.  He is also Director of the California International Law Center at King Hall.
