Associate Dean Amar Comments for Los Angeles Times on Efforts to Block Same-Sex Marriage

Associate Dean and Professor of Law Vikram Amar spoke with The Los Angeles Times for a June 29 article on the backers of Proposition 8 and their attempt to stop same-sex marriage in California.

Sponsors of the same-sex marriage ban filed an emergency petition to the U.S. Supreme Court to stop same-sex weddings from continuing in California. Amar said the chance of the Court intervening to stop the weddings was “pretty low.”
