Professor Chander Speaks on Internet Governance at ASIL Annual Meeting

Professor Anupam Chander led a discussion of global internet governance at the American Society of International Law (ASIL) Annual Meeting in Washington, D.C. on April 4.

The panel on "Challenges and Approaches to Effective Cyberspace Governance in a Multipolar World" included a range of leading experts in cyberspace governance. The panel consisted of Ross LaJeunesse, Global Head of Free Expression and International Relations at Google; Laura DeNardis, Associate Professor at American University; John Kneuer, policy consultant and former Assistant Secretary of Commerce; Jorge Villarino, Legal Advisor to the Committee on Justice at the Spanish Parliament; and Paul Brigner, Regional Director of the North American Bureau of the Internet Society.

Professor Anupam Chander is a leading scholar in the law of globalization and digitization, and has written widely on international law and cyber law.  He is also Director of the California International Law Center at King Hall. He serves on the Executive Council of the American Society of International Law.
