The King Hall Annual Fund: Bridging the Gap

Did you know that state funding has dropped to less than 10 percent of the Law School budget? Student fees, even at approximately $50,000 per year, can't make up the difference.   That's why it's more important than ever for loyal alumni to support the King Hall Annual Fund, which serves to bridge the gap, provides support for vital Law School programs and initiatives, and expands the educational opportunities available to students.

Gifts to the Annual Fund provide support for critical priorities and give the Law School flexibility needed to direct resources to areas of greatest need, including student organizations and journals, moot court and mock trial competitions, library services, and technology upgrades.

During the past year, support for the Annual Fund helped UC Davis School of Law to:

  • Fund student scholarships and awards such as the Frank and Margaret Johns Alumni Association award, which recognizes graduating students for their dedication and involvement at King Hall;
  • Enable student travel to events such as the Equal Justice Works Conference and Career Fair in Arlington, Virginia, the largest public service law career fair in the country;
  • Support the King Hall Loan Repayment Assistance Program (LRAP), which provides financial assistance to alumni pursuing careers in public interest law.

Alumni gifts to the King Hall Annual Fund are critical to the Law School's continued ability to support these and other activities, which help enable King Hall to attract and maintain a diverse and gifted student body and provide an unsurpassed level of legal education.

With 2012 drawing to a close, now is the perfect time to show your support for today's students with a gift to the King Hall Annual Fund! Please make an online gift to the Annual Fund today!
