Record Turnout for King Hall Intermural Trial Team Try Outs

A record number of students competed for the chance to represent UC Davis School of Law in regional and national trial competitions, vying in the Law School's intermural trial team tryouts on November 10-11.  Fourteen students claimed spots on the teams that will represent UC Davis School of Law in the upcoming National Mock Trial Competition and the Student Trial Advocacy Competition.

This year's team members will include Christian Acevedo '13, Ashley Bargenquast '15, Caspar Chan '13, Abenicio Cisneros '14, Andrew Collins '15, Brian Cooke '14, Desiree Fairly '15, Eric Lofgren '13, Uzair Saleem '13, Zachary Schultz '13, Karen Soell '13, Mitchell Suliman '14, Irene Williams '14, and Michael Yun '13.

The tryouts were judged by volunteers Daniel Boone '90, Joseph Alexander '98, and Kira King '06.  The alumni judges, all experienced litigators, reported that the quality of student presentations was uniformly high, making the final selections difficult.

"We would like to take this opportunity to congratulate all the new team members," said Professor Edward Imwinkelried, King Hall's Director of Trial Advocacy.  "In addition, we want to thank Messrs. Boone and Alexander and Ms. King for generously donating their time to judge to the tryouts."
