Patricija Petrac '13 Co-authors AARP Public Policy Institute Brief

Patricija Petrac '13 is a co-author of "Protecting Family Caregivers from Employment Discrimination," a report written for the American Association of Retired Persons Public Policy Institute dealing with family responsibilities discrimination--biases encountered by working caregivers of elderly persons. The report defines and describes this form of discrimination, highlights the protections available to caregivers under existing laws, and recommends ways to develop policy and practice solutions to protect working caregivers with eldercare responsibilities from employment discrimination. The report is co-authored by Petrac and Professor Joan C. Williams of UC Hastings College of Law, Robin Devaux, managing director of UC Hastings Center for WorkLife Law, and Lynn Feinberg of the AARP Public Policy Institute.  Petrac is a 2012 Ms. JD Fellow, as well as a co-founder of the King Hall Women's Law Association and Co-Chair of the Coalition for Diversity.
