Professor Ventry Publishes Op-ed on Home Ownership
Professor Dennis J. Ventry, Jr. has published a commentary in the Sacramento Bee arguing that "home ownership promises more than it delivers" and outlining some "myths" about the benefits of owning a home. "There are good reasons to buy a house," he writes. "But none of them involves attaining financial security, admission to elite colleges, a stronger economy, lower taxes, or the American dream."
