Professor Chander Elected to American Society of International Law Executive Council

At the 105th annual meeting of the American Society of International Law (ASIL), Professor Anupam Chander was elected to the ASIL Executive Council. He was also appointed to the Executive Committee of the Society.

The Executive Council serves as the board of directors of ASIL, the leading American association of international law scholars and practitioners. Members serve for a three-year term.  The Executive Committee manages ASIL matters between Executive Council meetings and has the same authority as the Council. Professor Chander joins the Executive Council as Professor Andrea Bjorklund of UC Davis leaves after three years of service, including one year on the Executive Committee.  

Professor Chander is a leading scholar in the law of globalization and digitization, and has written widely on international law and cyber law.  He is also Director of the California International Law Center at King Hall.
