Meredith Linsky '98 Provides Humanitarian, Legal Aid in Uganda

Meredith Linsky '98 took a four-month unpaid leave from her position as Director of ProBAR, the South Texas Pro Bono Asylum Representation Project, to volunteer with the American Jewish World Service (AJWS) in Uganda during the final months of 2011.  AJWS is an international development organization motivated by Judaism's imperative to pursue justice.  Linsky has posted a blog to share her experiences, including many entries on her legal and humanitarian work in Uganda and an item on a recent visit to Ethiopia with fellow alumna and former Immigration Law Clinic student Marien Sorensen '97, who is now practicing immigration law with Considine, Sorensen & Trujillo in Sacramento.
