Financial Aid
Financial need is the difference between the cost of attending the UC Davis Law School and what you are expected to contribute.
The Expected Family Contribution is calculated after you complete and submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). UC Davis School of Law provides financial aid to cover the entire cost of attendance.
The amount of financial aid eligibility or "need" is determined by a complex set of formulas known as the Federal Methodology (FM). The initial FM analysis is provided by the Federal Processor.
It is important to remember that while FM dictates the initial eligibility, the Financial Aid Office has the ability and desire to recognize non-traditional or unique circumstances. It is important to communicate any unusual circumstances, in writing, to the School of Law Financial Aid Office.
