J.D. Admissions
Prospective applicants and admitted students are strongly encouraged to visit the law school. We believe it is very important for you to learn as much about UC Davis Law School as possible in order to make an informed decision.
Requesting a Tour
Law students volunteer as tour guides. These guided tours are available September through April. Tours are not available during law school holidays or exam periods although visitors are welcome to take self-guided tours at any time. A self-guided tour brochure is available at the front desk in the Admission Office. Use the form provided on this page to request a guided tour or class visit. Please supply as much information as possible using the fields provided. At least one week's notice is needed to make the arrangements for your visit.
Law School tours are not available on weekends. King Hall is open to the public during law library weekend hours, however, all other administrative offices are close and law student tour guides are not available on weekends. If you plan to visit the law school on a weekend, please contact the admission office in advance so that we can mail a packet including general information and a self-guided tour brochure. Visitor information packets are also available in the law library.

Directions to the Campus
FROM I-80 EAST
Take the UC Davis exit and turn left at the stop sign onto Old Davis Road. Pass the South Gate Visitor Information booth and turn right at the parking structure. VISITOR PARKING is available in open lots around the parking structure and elsewhere subject to time limitations and charges.
FROM I-80 WEST
Take the UC Davis exit and turn right at the stop sign onto Old Davis Road. (Follow the Construction Detour Signs to the South Parking Structure) VISITOR PARKING is available in open lots around the parking structure and elsewhere subject to time limitations and charges.

Park only in non-restricted spaces when parking in a lot. Permit dispensers are located at the entrance to each lot. Daily parking permits may not be used in campus parking structures. Visitors displaying a disabled placard/plate issued by DMV are extended courtesy parking in marked spaces at all lots throughout the campus and at parking meters at no charge. FROM THE PARKING STRUCTURE Walk north along the front of the Mondavi Center and continue past Putah Creek. The School of Law is in King Hall, the first building on your left behind the egg head statues. Follow the sidewalk around to the front entrance. The entrance faces the parking lot. Handicapped entry is just past the front entrance, close to the coffee kiosk at the north end of the building. The Admissions Office is in the basement.
