King Hall Students Excel in UCLA Appellate Moot Court Competition

UC Davis School of Law students Sterling Elmore '14, Alex Hirsch '14, and Daniel Shimell '14 competed in the Roger J. Traynor California Appellate Moot Court Competition hosted by UCLA on April 12-13, bringing home an impressive set of honors. The team earned the California Academy of Appellate Lawyers Award for best written brief, placed third in team oral advocacy, and won the Bernard E. Witkin Award for excellence in appellate advocacy based on their combined written brief and oral argument scores. Shimell also earned the CEB Award for Individual Achievement in Oral Advocacy.
