King Hall Sponsors UC Davis Humanities Institute Lecture on ‘Courts and Constitutional Transition'

The School of Law co-sponsored a lecture presented by the Turkey Studies Research Cluster of the UC Davis Humanities Institute on April 14.  Assistant Professor Asli Bali of UCLA School of Law spoke on "Courts and Constitutional Transition: Lessons from the Turkish Case." Her talk focused on the unique challenges of institutional design for courts during periods of democratic transition through an examination of a set of controversial constitutional cases and attendant constitutional reforms impacting the judiciary in the Turkish context.
