Professor Chander Interviewed on Al Jazeera America

Professor Anupam Chander did a live television interview on April 18, 2014 on Al Jazeera America about a new "darknet" website allowing individuals to buy or sell illegal materials online. He noted that even though these kinds of sites were like hydras, growing two heads whenever one was chopped off, it was essential for the governments of the world to continue to go after them. Professor Chander also noted that web "anonymizers" like Tor, which are used by such sites, also have important benign uses, such as allowing individuals to surf the web in privacy. 

Professor Chander is the author of the acclaimed book The Electronic Silk Road: How the Web Binds the World Together in Trade, recently published by Yale University Press. In this accessible book, Professor Chander, a cyber law expert, provides the first thorough discussion of the law that relates to global Internet commerce.
