Professor Bennoune Speaks at TED Conference in England

Professor Karima Bennoune spoke in England as part of the TED (Technology, Entertainment, Design) Conference on "Ideas without Frontiers" held in Exeter on March 28. Professor Bennoune participated in a panel discussion entitled "Seeking Hope."

Karima Bennoune is an author, lecturer, teacher, and international law scholar, as well as the first Arab-American to be honored with the Derrick A. Bell Award from the Section on Minority Groups of the Association of American Law Schools. She is the author of the acclaimed book Your Fatwa Does Not Apply Here: Untold Stories from the Fight Against Muslim Fundamentalism (W.W. Norton & Company 2013). She joined the King Hall faculty from Rutgers School of Law-Newark in 2012.
