Holly Cooper Speaks on Immigration Issues

Holly S. Cooper spoke at the American Immigration Lawyers Association conference in Anaheim where she gave a presentation on the impact of two recent U.S. Supreme Court cases, Moncrieffe v. Holder and Descamps v. United States.

She also spoke at the National Legal Aid and Defenders Association Conference in Los Angeles about how to develop a law school clinic that focuses on the intersection of criminal and immigration issues, and on litigation in the wake of Padilla v. Kentucky, a 2010 Supreme Court case that created special constitutional protections for immigrant defendants.

Holly Cooper is a Lecturer and serves as staff attorney at the UC Davis Immigration Law Clinic. Her areas of specialty include immigration law and detained immigrants' rights.
