Professor Frank Speaks on Environmental Law and U.S. Supreme Court

Professor of Environmental Practice Richard Frank recently gave two presentations on the U.S. Supreme Court and environmental law.

On October 12, Professor Frank spoke to the State Bar of California's Annual Meeting in San Jose.  Frank's topic was "Recent Environmental Law Developments in the United States Supreme Court." On October 14, he spoke to a joint luncheon of the Sacramento County Bar Association's Real Property and Environmental Law Sections in Sacramento on the background, holding, and implications of the Supreme Court's major property rights decision from its recently-concluded term, Koontz v. St. Johns River Water Management District, sharing the podium with Pacific Legal Foundation attorney Paul Beard, who argued the Koontz case in the Supreme Court on behalf of the prevailing property owner in the case.

Frank, a 1974 graduate of King Hall, is a leader in the field of environmental law and the founding Director of the California Environmental Law and Policy Center at UC Davis School of Law.
